This page will feature either live or midi-performed compositions of mine.
First up, a tribute to Zawinul called 'Was It Something I Said?' . The volume mix is a little low on this one, so CRANK IT.
Next, a short character study I did while reading Bram Stoker's Dracula. I turned it into a string trio. It's called Meena and Jonathan.
Here's a soca I wrote for Inside Out Steel Band. I wrote it in a few days - it just sort of popped out. I didn't intend for it to sound like an old Nintendo 64 game soundtrack, but after it was done, it sounded like it. So I called it "M and L Carnival". I think you can tell which characters it sounds like, particularly that falling section where you can tell they fell off a cliff or went off the track..
Hot off the press, 15 Feb 2014. This has been in various pieces and forms until a couple of weekends ago when I finally put the last pieces into place. Includes a little Betts/Dudeck section, and tip of the hat to Hejira's Coyote.
Happy 2021
Here’s a little experiment using Final Cut Pro X, Logic Pro X and my iPhone 11.
December 2021
Here’s a little cover tune I did for HPE Christmas Party - a cover of EC’s cover of the classic.

I am a bassist among other things. You can’t escape the influence of the greats, like Jaco and McCartney. I also think that Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey just kind of transports me. It is very cinematic.
So in the winter as usual when there is some time I started on this tribute to both the greats and to the amazing arrangement of the original track.
I also had to put in my pans because I hadn’t played them in too long; then the 2nd half turned soca.
Lots of remixes and layers on this (67!). Hope you like it. I used downloads so that you get a better-sounding WAV or AIFF file, not a compressed .mp3 that the site supports.
As usual : CRANK IT UP !
